Small Group Lesson Plan Library

Words, Phrases, Sentences
Word lists are carefully created with words, phrases, and sentences that are pulled from the decodable reader. This scaffolding helps set students up for success when it's time to read on their own.
Students practice reading words, scooping phrases, and reading sentences fluently. Smiley faces can be colored in each time the page is practiced.
Fiction Decodable Readers
Decodable readers give students a chance to read an entire story with words featuring the new pattern. The LIFT OFF! decodable readers are made from one piece of paper, folded in half and include both color and B&W versions. The back of each decodable reader has comprehension questions for discussion. Students LOVE these engaging stories with plot lines that actually make sense!
*Letters & sounds lessons have a letter foldable that goes along with the lesson, instead of a decodable reader.
Supplemental Lesson Materials
Teacher guides for both phonics and letters & sounds lessons are provided. Each teacher guide walks you through the lesson plan, step by step, and gives you tips and tricks for making the lesson successful!
